The evening of October 7, 2008 the Greater Richmond Partnership hosted its 14th Annual Meeting which also served as the kick-off for its capital campaign, “Greater Richmond: Globally Focused, Regionally Competitive."  The event was held at the Virginia State Capitol in the Capital Square with more than 120 guests in attendance, including Partnership investors and allies, corporate leaders and elected officials from the region.  The evening announced the to-date fundraising status presented by General Campaign Co-Chairs, Bobby Ukrop and Gail Letts.  Representative Eric Cantor served as the event's keynote speaker.
