Step One: Allow Active Content to Run Files *

  1. From the Menu on your browser, select "Tools."
  2. Then choose "Internet Options;"  The following Screen will appear:


  3. Click the tab labeled "Advanced;” The following Screen will appear:


  4. Scroll down until you see "Security." Click on box that read "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer" (box should have check mark showing when finished).
  5. Click “OK” at the bottom and “OK” again when the box disappears.
* For security issues, we recommend you change back to the default mode when done with your session.

Step Two: Allow Pop-Ups

Set your computer to allow "Pop-Ups*" (this may require resetting additional programs such as AOL and Yahoo if anti pop-up software has been installed).

Step Three: Add Adobe Reader Software onto your PC

Click to install Adobe Acrobat ReaderIn order to view some of the files on this CD, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader already installed, click the button to the left to install Adobe Acrobat Reader, V. 8.0. When asked if you would like to "open" or "save" the file, click "open." Click through the questions that follow and it will be installed on your computer. You may also download the most recent version from the Adobe web site: http://www.adobe.com.

Note on Printing: If you would like the pages of the business plan to print without unnecessary headers or footers, please take the following steps before proceeding. Go to "File" on your browser menu. Select "Page Setup." Underneath the section titled "Headers and Footers," delete anything in the field next to "Headers" and also delete anything in the field next to "Footers." These two fields should be blank. Click "OK." You are ready to print! After you enter in data on each page, click the tab labeled "Display" at the top of each page for a printer-friendly layout that you can use to assemble a hard copy of your business plan.
